Description

Every CARDONE® Remanufactured Electronic Throttle Body undergoes a proprietary disassembly, inspection and renewal process. Each component is meticulously evaluated and then renewed or replaced, depending on whether the component meets our stringent engineering standards. A proprietary cleaning process prevents the throttle bore surface from deformity, ensuring optimum airflow. Every unit is tested for all critical functions, including response time and air flow at multiple points to ensure peak performance.

FAQsThe electronic throttle body is a powertrain component that has a plate, motor, and integrated position sensors which are utilized to regulate the amount of air entering the engine by opening the throttle valve to a desired angle via commands from the vehicles Powertrain Control Module or Throttle Actuator Control Module.
FAQsThe most common failure in an Electronic Throttle Body is the integrated Throttle Position Sensor. The ETB is equipped with high and Low voltage reference Throttle Position Sensor for redundancy. Either one of these sensors could fail or possibly both.
FAQsNo; bypassing of coolant hoses is not recommended. There are cases where we sell units without coolant pipes, because we are following OE supersessions where the pipes have been removed and instructions are provided for rerouting coolant hoses.
