Description

Designed for street 396-502 c.i.d. big-block Chevy V8s using general duty oval-port cylinder heads. number 2161 is stock replacement/street legal part for 396, 402, 427 and 454 V8s with OEM 4-bbl. carb.

  • • Recommended intake gasket: Edelbrock # 7203. • Use Edelbrock # 8028 waterneck adapter for 1986 and later. • Edelbrock choke plate # 8961 included. • Manifold height: A-4.300in.; B-5.400in. • Carb pad height: 4.85in. • Carb recommendations: OEM 4-Bbl; Use choke rod # 9179 if needed. Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 600-800 cfm. • Port exit dimensions: 1.70in.w x 1.68in. • Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals; such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant # 1076; DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS. • Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
