Recommended for air brake, pressurized hot oil return lines and rotary oil/air compressor lines. Meets the requirements of DOT FMVSS 106–74, SAE J1402 for Air Brake Hose (–4, 6, 8, 10), and SAE J1405 performance specifications for high–temperature transmission and lubricating oil systems using petroleum base oils. Not recommended for gasoline or diesel fuel applications.
Temperature Range: Petroleum–base fluids: –40 Deg F to +300 Deg F (–40 Deg C to +149 Deg C). Phosphate esters fluids as recommended by the fluid manufacturer, but within a range of –40 Deg F to +212 Deg F (–40 Deg C to +100 Deg C). For water emulsions see Temperature Limits Table.
Federal law requires registration with the Department of Transportation for anyone producing air brake hose assemblies with swaged or crimped fittings.
