Description

Rack and pinion systems are the backbone of today’s power assisted steering systems. Hitachi’s hydraulic rack and pinion systems come brand new from the factory with required grommets and inner and outer tie rods for a completely new install. These units are made from a combination of high-strength steel alloy for durability and aluminum for weight reduction and better heat dissipation. When compared to some aftermarket remanufactured units, Hitachi’s rack and pinion allows for full range of adjustability of the pinion to rack engagement gears and the ability to replace individual hydraulic lines if they become damaged. Precision-machined installation points allow for proper installation of any auxiliary components that were on the vehicle originally, such as Speed Sensitive Power Steering modules.
