Description

Poison Spyder BFH II Rear Bumpers are designed for those hardcore four-wheelers who value strength, simplicity and function. This bumper was literally Built For the Hammers with the best ground clearance and departure angle possible. It is no wider than the Jeep JK Wranglers rear body tub, with angled facets to improve its ability to slide over the rocks while still protecting the corner of the tub from drop-offs and ledges. This version of the BFH II features CNC machined high clearance recovery shackle tabs. The BFH II Rear Bumper is CNC laser-cut from high strength 3/16 plate steel, then precision brake-formed for an exact fit. The BFH II Rear Bumper has no provisions for a spare tire carrier. It may also be compatible with the OE tailgate-mounted spare tire carrier, depending on the size of the spare tire used. The faceted plate steel design of the JK BFH II Rear Bumper provides the most ground/obstacle clearance and best departure angle of any JK rear bumper on the market. Installation requires trimming the bulky rear frame rails and stock bumper mounts. A laser-cut steel template is provided to assist with making the right cuts. These modifications include cutting into the stock rear crossmember. At the installers discretion, the stock rear crossmember may be plated across the open cut (materials to do this are not included), or the crossmember removed completely. The JK BFH II Rear Bumper includes heavy duty, high clearance Recovery Shackle Tabs. These tabs were CAD designed specifically for use with this bumper, with a high-clearance design to minimize loss of departure angle and to enable sliding off of rocks rather than hanging up on them. The tabs are CNC machined from 1 thick plate steel to provide a secure attachment point for 3/4 recovery shackles. Installation requires cutting of stock frame rails! Application: JK.
