FAQsThis may be caused by a transfer case control module calibration issue. Check for DTC's and calibration version - there may be a software update from the Original Equipment Manufacturer. If the motor attempts to shift, but sounds weak, check the front axle lock actuator. If the axle lock does not engage, the motor cannot complete its engagement.
FAQsDo not operate the motor while it is off the transfer case. This can damage the motor and set an error code that must be cleared before the motor will operate again. Shift the transfer case into the position of the motor to install.
